ben2008
I have an 8 x 10 stained glass pattern I would like have enlarged to at least 50%. I am going to try and use it for an Intarsia project. I do not have any way of doing this at home. Is there somewhere I can send it, or take it, to have it enlarged? Thanks Edited July 2, 2020 by ben2008 OCtoolguy
kywoodmaster
The UPS Store has the ability to enlarge patterns. An engineering firm can also do it UPS would be the cheapest. For the size that you have your local Library may be able to do it for you. ben2008 and OCtoolguy 1
Oges
Was going to suggest the program Rapid Resizer, but then I re-read your question and it sounds like you are talking about a pattern in paper format and not a digital one Do you have a copy shop where you are? munzieb
The UPS Store is my go to place for enlargements. I take them a USB drive with the pattern and typically get a 16 x 14 enlargement on card stock. I'll get 3 for less than $1.50! ben2008 and OCtoolguy 1
ben2008
Thanks for the replies. Yes, I should have been more clear. I do need a paper enlargement. Looks like I'll be visiting a UPS store. Pretty sure there is one not far away. I live in a large metro area. I knew I came to the right place for help. Thanks again Ben OCtoolguy
oldhudson
I use Kinko's. They're part of FedEx now. I had a file enlarged 800% there recently, my paper output was 46" x 46". The resolution wasn't perfect but as a pattern it worked for me. OCtoolguy and ben2008 1

Rolf
Rapid resizer, it will then break up the pattern into several 8.5 x 11 sheets that you can then stitch together. ben2008 and OCtoolguy 1
crupiea
Open excel or any spreadsheet program you have. Insert pic. Now you can size it to whatever size you like with the little grabby things and it will print across multiple pages. If it is a pdf, you can change it to a jpg online or just take a pic with your phone and email it to yourself. I took a photo that was about five inches and projected to three feet. Takes a little trail and error to get exact, but that is an option. Clayton717
I go to staples for reprints, they have shrunk a pattern for me so I'm sure they can enlarge one ben2008 and OCtoolguy

Woodmaster1
I take mine to the school where I taught CAD and use their large format plotter. I may get shut off someday once all my contacts retire but that will be 30 years. So hopefully when I am 97 I still need to use that option. munzieb
