Popular Post Charlie E
I surprised my next door neighbors with a portrait of their beautiful 4 year old daughter. I think they liked it. The daughter however held it back out to me and said, "You can keep it." goldfish
How did you get the pattern from a photo ? what software did you use?

I don't use any software. Old school carbon paper. I print the photo out as big as I can on letter sized paper then use carbon paper and trace where I think I should cut out. Charles Dearing has some tutorials on this method on Youtube. I guess it's pretty primitive but I enjoy it.
goldfish
Wow Charlie thats even more impressive. If I sent you a photo would you mind having a go at converting to use for scrolling. It would be a photo of a dog. Thanks Rich

I'm really slow. Usually takes me a few hours and mine are usually kind of a rough draft and I make changes as I go along, while cutting. There are however lots of guys on here that do it. Just click on forums and scroll down to pattern requests. They're better than me anyway.
