Badgerboy Posted July 14, 2020 Report Posted July 14, 2020 I spent the last week cutting 4 commissioned wedding signs. They are 18” in diameter and double layer. Top is 1/4 bb ply and the backer is 1/4 mdf using a #1 MGT blade on my Pegas saw. The design is done by my son. Backer is painted gloss black and the top is stained and then has a coat of spray polyurethane. I edge band with copper foil to dress the edge. Dave Monk, meflick, lawson56 and 3 others 6 Quote

It is designed for temporary PCB board tracing and can be bought in several different widths and thickness. It is quite thin and is fragile but is easy to apply and looks great. You can find it online. Quote
trackman Posted July 15, 2020 Report Posted July 15, 2020 Wife uses it on stained glass projects. Same thing? Quote

My daughter also does stained glass and I have seen here copper foil. They seem similar but I know the tape I used was specifically for electronics. Quote

Badgerboy Posted July 15, 2020 Author Report Posted July 15, 2020 For those of who were curious, here is the copper tape I used. As trackman suggested you may also be able to find in stained glass supply houses. Copper Foil Tape Quote
spirithorse Posted July 16, 2020 Report Posted July 16, 2020 Very, very nice! Here is a similar plaque I made that is 35" diameter with the letters over-layed. First they wanted it scorched to look rustic and then changed their mind to a white finish so the guests signatures would stand out. Yours are fantastic! God Bless! Spirithorse Quote
barb.j.enders Posted July 16, 2020 Report Posted July 16, 2020 I was just showing this to hubby - he says "I have some of that tape"! He uses it for shielding in his guitars!!! Now I will have to find a project to try it on. Quote
Oges Posted July 16, 2020 Report Posted July 16, 2020 They look great, well done on the design and cutting Quote
