Eburrice
Hi all- New to this website, but been scrolling for about 2 years. Really it’s been in the last 6 months that I’m really starting to do more complicated cuts. I have been selling my woodwork for almost 3 years and am ready to concentrate on my scrolling and grow that side. My question, ( and struggle!), is the wood to use and where to get it. I cut a lot of words, Flowers, sports logos, etc... the wood at the big box stores (we have Home Depot and Lowe’s) don’t have the high quality MDF I need and I haven’t been able to find Baltic birch. Advice on where (online?) I can get some or another type of wood to use? I’m in Louisville. Thanks!
Rockytime
Is there such a thing as high quality MDF?
OzarkSawdust
Google “Ocooch Hardwood”. Good price and fast service
NC Scroller
If you are in Louisville Woodcraft lists a store there. Also check other local lumber suppliers and millwork companies.
kywoodmaster
As far as lumber / hardwoods check this place out http://www.bagdadlumber.com/index.html They are about half way between Louisville and Frankfort. Just looking at the web site. Looks like they have moved into Shelbyville that is even closer to you.
