Garage.

I got kids and wouldn't want to foul the house with dust, so theres little choice.

But I like it that way, I rarely ever get followed out to the garage, so I can get away and do my thing in peace, whether its scroll sawing, wrenching on my muscle car or whatever else.

My life would practically be ruined without my garage.

Depending on which one you refer to, one is between the breakfast table and the kitchen which makes it very handy to the coffee pot. The others are in the shop which was too cold this winter. Have found I like having one in the house as it is really convenient.

Andy, looks like you are slipping a little bit on this bet with your wife..Hope the payoff dosen't hurt to bad..I'd sure "like" to have my saw in the house above any other place if that counts for any thing on your 25% tally..I'm hearing "honey you sure need a large insulated, heated shed in the back yard" from the Lady here lately. So, looks like I will be getting farther from the house by summers end.

Still a lot of answers to come in, you may win the bet yet

I have two workshops, the main workshop is in the garage and my second which I like to refer to as my auxiliary workshop is in my backyard shed which is 10'x12' so I have the best of both worlds.

I keep mine in the basement (which is so cluttered with junk right now, I can't even get to the saw....long story). I do my sawing there during the winter. During the summer, I take it to the garage and will wheel it to the deck if the day is especially nice.

Mines in the basement, Here in Michigan, to cold for the garage, and still waiting for spring to show up yet, was great today!!!! Have had my workshop in the basement for years, as not finished basement. Good wood stove and woodcarving and scrollsawing, and a dvd player to listen to while working.
