New racks for the shop

The basic plan for the finishing can rack came from Jay's Custom Creations. I used 1x6 instead of plywood and modified a few other little things.

I liked that plan because it was simple and easy, I wasn't going to make cradles or drill holes for each can...it's just for my workshop. Then I looked around...there's really no place to hang it! So I sat down...looked around the shop...had a beer ( important in the creative process ) and thought I would replace the old plastic shelf in that spot!

I'm waiting on Poplar to make puzzle animals for winter stock...so I'll do another project. Steve Good , I think, had a plan for a dispenser for peel and stick shelf paper that I use a lot. I think I've got all the material for that. Then maybe a holder for my blade storage tubes...that keep rolling off the table.

Speaking of waiting for Poplar, I ordered some wood from Ocooch on Tue. 7/7...it arrived Fri. 7/10. I ordered a couple of boards from Heritage Wood, also on 7/7...today 7/21, I called to see what was going on and had to leave a message. A guy called me back and said the shop told him it would probably go out this week. Is this the normal time frame for them?

I put another order in to Ocooch today.

Very Cool.Well organized. My shop is small 10x12.When it comes time to clean I open both doors raise the window.then turn on the leaf blower and have at it😃.Making sure no loose paper is around.and my big fan is on.😉

Bobby quick an simple, That's what I like!!! I do the same but have 3- 20" box fans mounted on a sheet of ply on the back door for positive ventilation and then the leaf blower!!! These run constant when scrolling.

Nice shop! I see you have spray foam insulated walls. We have that type insulation at work. If we keep the doors closed (which drives me nuts) it stays relatively cool. About 75-80 degrees, which is cool in my opinion. Big smile. And yes, I am from the frozen tundra of Minnesota.

Thanks! The spray foam has made a world of difference. The shop is 18'W x 30'L  x 9' and I can keep it 10* - 12* cooler than outside on a 90*+ day. With a big fan on low pointed towards the ceiling to circulate air it is very comfortable. The window is only large enough for a 6,000 btu AC,
