sst17
I just got a request for a wedding sign. On this sign I will need to cut the couples name out and they would like a cursive font. I need help in finding a good cursive font to scroll. It can be challenging that's not a problem. What are your favorite fonts for cursive work? LarryEA
A thousand cursive fonts...how to pick one is beyond me. I'd find one not too demanding.. OCtoolguy and danny
Rockytime
I would not mind finding one that was reasonable to cut. OCtoolguy
spirithorse
Most of these would require that you add some bridges but, here are some fonts to look up and consider. I would use and have used Script MT Bold on several occasions. Script MT Bold is my first choice. Brush Script MT Cursive Elegant Lucida Handwriting French Script MT Edwardian Script Palace Script MT Good luck with your project, I hope you show us the completed work, and God Bless! Fab4
Hi Michael: Good choices given above - Fonts, just like anything else become a personal choice The only thing that really matters is that the customer is happy with whatever you choose Adding bridges to any font is easy enough to do, Show us what you end up with Fab4 OCtoolguy and danny 1
don in brooklin on
I use a free program called Nexusfont. I have all my font classified as scrollable, script etc. If you want to give me the names I can give back as a PDF and let bride decide. (Groom doesn't get a vote) Don't forget you will have to add bridges and sometimes that really changes the look. If you are cutting out the letters and sticking them on your sign you don't have to worry about bridges. flarud, amazingkevin, Fab4 and 1 other 3
Rolf
I use Pattern wizard for my intarsia pattern design. They have this free font generator that may be very useful. https://online.rapidresizer.com/make-name-patterns.php You will still have to add some bridges for letters Like "o,p d" etc. Edited July 26, 2020 by Rolf John B and OCtoolguy

munzieb
If you are cutting the font with raised letters as in your picture, most text should not be a problem. If you are scrolling into the wood (as mentioned above) you need to do bridges. Remember to cut the weakest or inside parts first. A,B,G,O,P,Q,R. In some applications, I have actually painted in the bridges with the matching backing color. I would try a test cut and painting to see if it looks right before doing a final piece.
