I just got a request for a wedding sign. On this sign I will need to cut the couples name out and they would like a cursive font. I need help in finding a good cursive font to scroll. It can be challenging that's not a problem. What are your favorite fonts for cursive work?

Most of these would require that you add some bridges but, here are some fonts to look up and consider.
I would use and have used Script MT Bold on several occasions.

Script MT Bold is my first choice.

Brush Script MT

Cursive Elegant

Lucida Handwriting

French Script MT

Edwardian Script

Palace Script MT

Good luck with your project, I hope you show us the completed work, and God Bless! Spirithorse

Hi Michael:
Good choices given above -
Fonts, just like anything else become a personal choice
The only thing that really matters is that the customer is happy with whatever you choose
Adding bridges to any font is easy enough to do,
Show us what you end up with

I use a free program called Nexusfont.  I have all my font classified as scrollable, script etc.

If you want to give me the names I can give back as a PDF and let bride decide.  (Groom doesn't get a vote)

Don't forget you will have to add bridges and sometimes that really changes the look.  If you are cutting out the letters and sticking them on your sign you don't have to worry about bridges.

Thanks for offering to help me. I’m attempting to make a plaque similar to the one below. I’m needing the name Pannell.

If you are cutting the font with raised letters as in your picture, most text should not be a problem. If you are scrolling into the wood (as mentioned above) you need to do bridges. Remember to cut the weakest or inside parts first. A,B,G,O,P,Q,R. In some applications, I have actually painted in the bridges with the matching backing color. I would try a test cut and painting to see if it looks right before doing a final piece.

I think that the font might be Cream Candy.

Here is an example.

It is available on dafont.com

Thanks so much! I'll see if I remember how to download from there. Been awhile!

Wow, that was like a straw in haystack, I'm very impressed you were able to find that.

I subscribe to an web site called fontbundles.net.  They have freebee Friday and this was one of the freebees but it also is on dafont.

I am a font junkie and collect neat stuff.  A lot of these are used with Cricut machines.   I have designed a few signs for a friend and so I am always on the look out.

Hi Don:
Happy Days might have had their own "Fonzie"
But having you here at the Village gives us our very own "FONTZIE"
Thanks for helping us Villagers in times of Font searches

This is the one I found most "cuttable" and a good looking font also:  https://www.dafont.com/birds-of-paradise.font

I've never been able to get it to download and install right. Others have worked...but not this one.

When doing install all users the progress bar never shows anything. It comes on screen a couple of seconds and goes away. Any ideas?

I had forgot that a couple of you who helped me find the font I needed asked to see the finished project. It is pictured below. It was a real hit and I have received 4 orders from people who were at the wedding and saw this sign!

Very nice! A different take on it. Here are a couple I've done. In fact I'm working on one right now. It's like the top photo, for a wedding the 10th.
