It was pretty, but plain, so I decided to spruce it up a little. The braid design was one I saw on a piece of leather. It was so striking to me that I wanted to see if I could reproduce it in wood. It came out okay, but there are some things I'd do differently if I was to ever do it again. Sorry about the blurred photo of the open box.
