Little project for Coffee mad mate

I got asked to make this for my mates girlfriend for his birthday present.

Its coming along nicely.

Should I use clear varnish or paint it coffee cream colour?

I would make pot of strong coffee and then let it set a while --then use it as the stain! After  thoroughly dry light sand and then use an exterior clear finish.  Test first on some of the scraps to see if you like it , of course! I bet you will.

That sounds like a cool idea. Scrape bit of wood to test as recommended

great peice!!! and yes i think using coffee to stain the coffee in the coffee pot is great!!!  but of course to be sure try it on a scrap peice of wood first
