Thanks Kevin! Price is not too bad, Cherry Plywood is $7.75 for a 1/4" x 12" x 24" at Ocooch.

I saw it on Ocooch Hardwood's site, and was curious. They have Red Oak, Cherry, Maple, and Walnut. All are 1/4" x 12" x 24"...so I got one of each to try.

As a retired coasty .. I love all things lighthouse and dealing with the sea .. great looking piece !
