Clean workbench!

Not really bragging... but I did do what I've been putting off.

Did you ever get to the place you can't find anything right on the bench? I was between projects this morning and told myself "you've got to do something with this mess"!  So I cleaned up the workbench, and found a few things I thought I had lost! I'll post a picture...neat, clean, organized...it probably won't stay that way for long...LOL!

Also I got tired of the tubes I have my blades in rolling around all the time. When I bump the saw table they will roll off onto the floor...and I have to stop and pick them up. So I dug around in Steve Good's site and found a "tube carrier" plan I had seen a while back. Didn't take long to cut out and glue up...presto, all my blades are organized and within reach!

Nice work area. Is that a mini press in the background? How is that to use, I mean easy to drill pilot holes?

Not sure which you're talking about. I have a Central Machinery 8" bench drill press on the far right. I use it a lot and keep a 1/16" bit in it mostly.

Then between that and the sander is a Dremel in a plunge router attachment. I use it for tight fretwork and keep a #56 bit in it mostly. Both work out great for what I do!

That was exactly what I was asking! Thank you for the nuggets up.

Is that a Kobalt table saw folded up in the second photo?

Yup, I got it a couple of years ago. I would rather have a big Sawstop or the likes...but a little less than $350 was closer to my budget than $1,000 - 4,000 !

The only thing I don't like about it is the fence, and it may just be the one I got. You have to release it on both ends, set it, and secure it on both ends. But they aren't the exact same! I've got to where I set the close end, measure from the end of the table to the fence where the ruler is, then measure the same on the far end of the fence...adjust it, and set it. 95% of the time I move it 1/8th to 1/4. Wish I could find a good, accurate aftermarket fence that clamped on one end.

Take a look at Kreg's web site they have some excellent aftermarket fences, maybe one of those will work for you.

Ozark, Unfortunately I did not inherit the organizational gene from my German tool maker Dad.

OK it seems Kreg does NOT make a table saw rip fence. They do make miter fences which I have.

I do have a Kreg Band saw fence, which is very accurate.  Maybe it could be adapted

https://www.kregtool.com/store/c48/saw-attachments/p86/precision-band-saw-fence/

It seems most quality after market fences cost more than the saw.
