Popular Post Rockytime Posted August 30, 2020 Popular Post Report Posted August 30, 2020 Thanks to Foxfold aka Brenda for furnishing the pattern. I'm probably the thousandth person to cut this pattern but I have admired it every time I saw it. 1/8" plastic laminated BB, #0 Pike blade, black card stock backer. flarud, JustSomeOldDude, Fish and 13 others 16 Quote

dgman Posted August 30, 2020 Report Posted August 30, 2020 Looks great Les, you did a very good job cutting it! That pattern is on my to do list. What is the finished size? Rockytime 1 Quote
Rockytime Posted August 30, 2020 Author Report Posted August 30, 2020 Did not measure it exactly but nearly fills an 8-1/2x11 page. I think the blank I used is 9x11-1/2. Quote
wombatie Posted August 30, 2020 Report Posted August 30, 2020 Love it, Love it, Love it. To me it would be called Bird On A Tap, I have never heard of a spigot before. Marg John B, amazingkevin and Rockytime 2 1 Quote

I'm just old fashioned. wombatie 1 Quote

I'm just old fashioned. Yep a TAP is for dispensing beer and FAUCET is what dispenses water into a sink...this is really a HOSE COCk...the plumbing term for that thing that sticks out the side of a foundation or on top of a yard hydrant that you attach the hose to. I agree, spigot is an old word that is not much in use these days. Rockytime 1 Quote
dgman Posted August 31, 2020 Report Posted August 31, 2020 Ok, I’m a plumber. Technically it is called a hose bib. You can call it whatever you want, but I call it a hose bib. Rockytime 1 Quote
OzarkSawdust Posted August 31, 2020 Report Posted August 31, 2020 I prefer TAP...but than again, I prefer BEER ! Rockytime 1 Quote
Oges Posted August 31, 2020 Report Posted August 31, 2020 Lovely clean and crisp cutting Curious about the plastic laminated BB, is it wood or plexi? Rockytime 1 Quote

It is 1/8" BB (wood) but has a thin plastic like lamination on both sides. I don't know the official name of it as I got accidentally when I ordered regular BB. I did not notice it until I got it home. I was surprised. I can't call the dealer for the name of it as I'm hearing impaired and can't use a phone well. Next time I order my wife will make the order and make sure I get the same thing. It cuts beautifully and leaves you with a great finish. Don't have to sand it either. Quote

newfie Posted September 1, 2020 Report Posted September 1, 2020 Great work Les. I'm with marg on this one up this way it would a tap also. But anything that dispenses liquid is a tap up here. Turn tap and put some water in the sink, beer is on tap, turn on the tap for the garden hose etc. Lolol Rockytime 1 Quote
