Xray
Was looking around home depot for something today, I rarely ever go down the hardwood aisle, but I did today ,,, And was surprised that they had 1,000's of hardwood samples free for the taking. Might be a very useful resource for those of you into the smaller projects like keychains. There was no limit on what you could take, but I didn't want to look stupid walking out with a cartload, so I grabbed a dozen or so. Not sure if all hope depots will have this, try it and see if you have a need.

pecohen
I check regularly at HD's cull-bin, but generally only come up with pine. I'm not complaining - it's cheap and useful. The picture looks like you mostly have pieces of flooring. I've thought of buying some flooring some time to work on but haven't done it yet. I have picked up some laminate samples - the kind with rubber backing. I cut a slit in them and used the result as a tool for holding down my work when I cut it. This is particularly useful for thin materials.
Xray
Yup, its all hardwood flooring. I don't have any use for the stuff offhand, or else I'd get more. Never hurts to have it sitting around though.
Dan
Those things can be hard on the blades. Some of the glue makes it down right tough. But, those are the perfect size for coasters, ornaments, and trivets.
Dan-Woodman
If it's the plastic laminate flooring , that will even dull your carbide tiped table saw blades . I didn't know about this and laid this in a hallway and dulled my Forrest 10x40 Woodworjer II . Later Daniel
