Fan Blades

I was wondering if any of you have tried using ceiling fan blades for scroll work. I replaced a ceiling fan this summer and kept the 5 very nice looking blades.

Now that is thinking outside the box for sure....

I've used cedar siding, 2x4's, pallet wood, and all manner of white wood, but never  ceiling fan blades

Not really scrollsaw work but my wife and I made these last week with fan blades and an old desk leg. Everyone around heres to love dragon flies.

I HAVE made new fan blades from BB Plywood. Just trace and painted.

My wife made a couple last year.  She has them hanging on the side of the garage,, I always seem to whack my head on one of them when walking by.

I did try and use fan blades but found out that they chip and is not real wood. just my opinion.
