Should I or should I not?

That saw was made by Summerville Designs in Canada, who also designed and built the DeWALT type 1. If it is in good working order, it might be worth the $125. Keep in mind, it had been out of production for about twenty years, so there are no replacement parts available. I can’t tell by the picture, but does it have a motor? If it had a motor it might be worth it. If not, you have to factor that.

I've seen an add from someone selling an old Excalibur by Somerville 30" for $125.  It is in working condition. I already have plenty of Dewalts Type 1 (2)  that I acquired and serviced and lately Got a Brand New Seyco that I Love.  Is this saw worth it or not?

What is your goal? Is it just a project to restore or are you thinking of using it as a full time saw? Parts are not available from what I have heard so you will have to either make your own or spend a lot of time finding a source. For me, it's a NOT!

It's a tremendous bargain for $125.

I have, exactly, that saw and would not accept less than $1,000 for it.

It's a great saw that I have used extensively for 16 years and I have no problems in getting the (very few) parts that I needed for it.

That sounds like you did very well. How did you get the Hegner? No mention of it in your OP.

There was no mention of it anywhere in the add. So I offered $100 for the Excalibur and He came back with $120 + the Hegner.  I was totally surprised by the offer and I accepted it!
