New addition to my MC cuts

Found this free 2009 Pattern by The Wood Aartist and could not resist.  There was no words on the pattern, I added them in a Font called Curse of the Zombie i found on the dafont website. Just needed to add a few bridges.  I actually added the words afte the image was totally finished and it looked like it needed something to complete the picture.

It is an 8X10, cut from 1/8 BB ply with a 1/8 painted black BB ply backer permanently fixed in a very cheap Wallmart farme.  Almost completed with one Pegas 2/0 spiral blade.  Finally broke doing the R in DARE.

This was a quick, fun to do, cut.  It was especially fun not having to be tooooo careful while doing the letters.

I have a number of other MC related patterns in my pattern envelope just waiting.

...I hate to think what those circular areas would look like if
I attempted them with a spiral blade! ....

Like everything else, you find tricks to getting a decent result.  On the long curve, like the front wheel, if I make sure I stay inside the cut out area I can go back and shave very gently up to the line using the spiral blade.  Then of course my Dremel tool can help to smooth thing out when ther is room in the cut for the sanding drum.  OH, OH, did I just admit to a scroll saw NO NO! 🤣

Frank - I had TWO full dress HD's .. and a Dyna Wide Glide for fun. Then .. someone hit me with a car. Broke some stuff up. All that good stuff. Dyna went to HD Heaven. I rode one of my HD's into the Honda/Kawisaki dealer with a friend one day - he was looking for another kawi. Some bike with his girl came in - neither had teeth - and yells "hey - who's 30k HD is that outside?" I jokingly said .. "Mine - I'm looking for a good trade in." We had a laugh. The owner of the shop, whom I knew - I'd bought plenty of honda's from him for my kids and stuff, comes out and says "Gus - you wanna trade it in?" I was trying to ride it, but, my back couldn't take the thumping anymore. Hurt to ride. So I says - Bob - yeah - I'll take that one, and, that one, and whatever Vulcan my buddy wants.  He takes me over and shows me this Valkyrie with a limited paint job and says - "I'll give ya this - $15k - and all the chrome and exhaust you want" I told him the bike was ugly - and - that it was not made for a 6'3" guy. My size 13's don't fit the pedals. But - I then told him to throw in 100 bucks extra on top of it for dinner at the local steak place, he did - and I got the bike. Next - I didn't like the small tank - or the paint job. So - a friend of my (H.A.) was "retiring" from a famous paint shop - and - said he would paint it for little of nothing when he did to help him start a new business. Okay. So - I designed the paint job. It took first place in a lot of MC shows with that paint and chrome - though - it also got voted DIRTIEST bike in the show. hahahahaha. It was a rider, not a show bike, to me. I put more than 25k miles on it a year and just sold it 2 years ago. With the COP discount - HD gives cops and now firemen special deals - 15k was a bit more than I paid for the HD in the first place - and - the twin to it - I sold to a fire capt in Green Bay Wisconsin for more than I paid for it. At the time - Firemen did NOT get the HD discount. Loved the bike - did a lot of custom work on it to make it faster. It had 135hp to the back wheel on the dyno. Man - 6 carburetors - it was a monster. I sold it - for less than I was asking - to a guy that had just come home from Afghanistan. Ya gotta give those guys some breaks.

Have fun on that HOG .. and .. don't spend all day on the saw when there's pavement out there that could use some extra rubber on it.

Last few months every day the feel like temps have been well over 100 or it is raining, and, then there is the Covid crap.  So my riding has been limited since march. Hopefully it will cool down a little now that, technically, fall is here and I can get back out on the road.  When the weather starts to cooperate I will be able to ride in the morning before the rains show up and scroll later in the day.  Best of both worlds.

Yea my pump gave me problems, 3 heart attacks in 3 months, then they finally put in a new valve - so far so good, but the rest of the body went downhill at the same time.  Gettin old is not for wimps!

It is ABSOLUTELY not for wimps. hahahaha .. After my second surgery (there were 5 from Jul 18 to Oct 19) .. The doctor calls and asks "how ya doin' ?" .. I says - "Man - I have been in LOTS of fights - but - no one has ever hit me in the chest like this! I'm not feeling really great." ... He laughs and says - "you're not supposed to feel great right now - we just beat the crap out of your heart !" ... hahahahahaha .. so .. strokey thing - heart and lung thingie - and the wife, father-in-law and I decided - yep - time to let someone else enjoy that bike.  I was going to give it to my grand son - but - was talked out of that, too. I do miss her. A little of the fun of putting 20-25K miles on it a year was coming out of some store/restaurant and seeing people gawking at it. And then hearing funny stories about their last bike. .... . Now .. I'm the one with stories about his last bike.  Remember - old bikers NEVER die - they just smell that way.

Keep the rubber side down, sir, and get healthy !

You too sir

I sold my sportster and the fat boy, but getting rid of the glide ..... we'll see

Glide .. ONE OF THE BEST BIKES I HAVE EVER OWNED .. that bike was SOOOOOO freaken nimble on corners .. I was constantly loosing my "gremlin bells" .. but .. others would get me one pretty fast. My pegs were just "burger" on the bottoms and ends.  Best bike HD EVER made, in my opinion ! Mine was pretty much like yours - without the studs on the leather - and tassles like on  your fatboy hanging from the bars. Put a nice paint job on the tank - well - not nice - but sort of like a cops. Black but with the big white tear drop on the sides.  Only thing I NEVER liked about the fatboy? Those wheels - they made handling HORRIBLE in wind - and here in northern California - we have lots of wind in places.  NICE BIKES.

I didn't wanna get off topic by posting pics of my bikes, BUT the title of this thread has MC in it, so here goes!  One of the first cuts I made when I got back into woodworking a few years ago.  I made this for a charity ride for the American Legion to help raise money to fight children cancer.  This is the guy that won it in an auction, he paid $90 for it.

Blue bike is a 2002 Kaw. 1500 Meanstreak

Bottom bike is my  2005 Kaw VN2000.  It has the 2053cc engine in it.  Very powerful bike.  Unfortunately it has been a garage queen the last couple of years. Ridden only 3 or 4 times per year.  It has gotten so bad on the roads with everyone always on their phones it's just too dangerous anymore.

Nice cutting for a very good cause.  I'm sure he is really happy with it.

Kaw's are great bikes.  Owned and rode a Kaw 750 triple ins early 70's.  However, when I came back to riding a couple years back I decided to become a H-D owner.
