[Denny Knappen]

This pattern is by Alex Fox purchased from his Etsy store. I used 1/4" Walnut 10" square. Cut on the Pegas Scroll Saw using #1R MGT blades. The hard part was the glue up. The finish was one coat spray Shellac and two coats Lacquer Clear Satin.

Not this year, borders are still closed for us to travel to the U.S. also with Covid will stay home this winter and hopefully not freeze our butts off. LOL

Very nice work Denny! Question, why apply lacquer over shellac? Or why have shellac under the lacquer?

Thanks RJ.  Fun bowl to make.  Just takes time with the glue up.

Thanks Dan.  I used the Shellac as a sanding sealer.  After sanding, the Lacquer for a hard finish.

Thanks Les.  The pattern is for an 8” bowl, but I increased the pattern to fit the 10” stock.
