mikesscrollsaw
What is everyone doing for wood storage in a small shop? I've got a lot of wood now and running out of space to put it. It's also totally disorganized. I've got to come up with something.

Messman
I store large sheet goods over head and small peices of good hardwood in a cabinet and under my wall mounted bench. Those peices that are to long for those spots I have a place on the wall as well. My problem is that all my areas are full.
Joey
Mike, My ply wood--When I buy it I have it cut down into 4 equal pieces and store it in my computer room flat on a rug under a table. All other wood goes into a shed and stored on an ceiling rack. It is not the norm for me to have a lot of wood around. Joey
mikesscrollsaw
I've been getting lots of free stuff lately and now it's getting in the way. Thanks for the feedback. I'll have to come up with something.
Clayton717
I have a few shelves "racks " on the one side of my shop, above my scroll saw that stores most of my wood. there is also some stacked on th lower shelf of my scrolling workbench and still more stood up at the end the bench. Where ever I can put it moreless, but I try to keep it laying flat, but some its just not possible.

Clayton717
I took pictures of my wood storage, I have it wherever I have room. the little storage drawers have a lot of the smaller pieces in it. I use these for intarsia, and just can't throw them away(might need it someday) don't mind the mess I haven't cleaned up for a while. the milk crate under the bench is for the to burn scraps. Old Dust
My 2' X 4' BB boards fit nicely in a dresser that I got at a 'junk' store for a few bucks. The draws can also hold a lot of loose pieces. John Old Dust
wombatie
Most of my wood is in draws they are used for plans, Architect draws I think they are called, but the really big wood if standing next to the draws. Marg
