RabidAlien
Cut this one over the weekend. Not sure where I found it, its been sitting on my "to-do" pile, taped and glued and drilled, for quite some time. I'm telling myself I'm gonna work through that pile before I cut anything new. I hope. LOL JustSomeOldDude, meflick, amazingkevin and 4 others
FrankEV
Very nice cutting. I like eagles. I have already done 4 different eagle plaques and I have about 15 more I plan to do over time. I've got two projects getting ready to be cut and one is a very intricate Charlie Hand Eagle head pattern called The Guardian. Will probably take me quite a few days to complete. This one was fairly quick, although after I drilled all the pilot holes, I realized how MUCH of that pattern is "exterior" line. It took me about as long to cut around the outside as it did to cut all the inside cuts...and the head is about the only place with a relatively straight line in the pattern! amazingkevin and FrankEV 1
Rockytime
Beautiful pattern and you've cut it and framed very nicely! How thick is the wood and how large is the pattern? RabidAlien

How thick is the wood and how large is the pattern? 3/8 ply, I believe (dragged it out of the scrap bin). The frame is 10x12, I believe, and made from the scrap pieces that come between layers of wood at Lowes, they toss 'em in a dumpster and let me rummage. I like the knotty, beat-up, rustic look of that wood, but its pretty green (literally, its greenish in color) so each piece goes through several sanding cycles from 80grit up to 320grit to get it smoothed up a bit and take the surface layer of crud off. Still ends up with a light greenish tint, but it takes a stain really well, and for the price, I can't complain. Rockytime

wombatie
My brain being what it is took awhile to figure out the eagle but once I did I said "Oh Wow, that's nice". Well done Kirk. Marg RabidAlien

It's nor as bad as it looks. He has a way of making a pattern look like it has 400 holes when it only has 200. He told me he hates small tedious cuts RabidAlien and FrankEV

I started looking at the interior cuts and realized there weren't all that many....20 or so? The exterior, though....now, that part was FUN! Great cornering practice. Yep, can't recall the name of it, but I found it scrolling through the Nature section of the Pattern Library. Lemme rummage through there, see if I can find it again... Edit: Found it. "Flaming Eagle" by Wild Bill, way back on page 14 of the "Animals" section. Edited September 9, 2020 by RabidAlien GusGustin
