CHawkins
Hey Ya'll, been scrilling for about 5 years now with a 2 year break (real ugly divorce) but have returned to the hobby I love and I managed to keep my Delta P-20 (YEA!!!) I mostly do portraits, designing my own patterns from most anything. The Lincoln portrait I actually took off a $5 bill, took abit to get it upto 8 x 10 then cleaned up to cut. don in brooklin on
Welcome I am planning a trip in June up to Traverse City. We spend the first night or two in Saginaw and do a little shopping etc. Do you know if there any places in your neck of the woods that sell hardwoods that can be used for scroll patterns? I was hoping to find some 1/2 inch in walnut, cherry, or similar. Thanks Don in Broolkin On
CHawkins
Not off hand, I have heard that there is a WoodCrafters in Saginaw, going to check it out sometime in the future, I will post when I do.

CHawkins
I get all my wood supplies from Johnson's Workbench in Charlotte Michigan (http://theworkbench.com/) I prefer then because of the superior wood selection (everything from standard oak and maple to all kinds of exotics) , and will do special cuts, usally at no cost.
