Popular Post Charlie E
Made this for a childhood hunting and fishing buddy I've lost touch with except for FB. He and his wife enjoy kayak fishing. I borrowed heavily from the style of Kimberly Francis. I'm not at all happy with the trees but they were the last thing I cut and after several attempts to "tweak" them I decided I better leave them alone as I don't have it in me to do it all over. It's 5 1/2" by 12" out of mystery pallet wood. lawson56, Fish, heppnerguy and 9 others

Tomanydogs
Charlie you are getting very good at these. You’ve picked the perfect wood for the river, land and sky. I like the trees. Well done. Charlie E

meflick
Excellent piece Charlie that your friend and his wife will love. My husband always tells me that the "evil" of "good" is "better" - meaning that often when something is "good" and you are trying to make it "better" you end up screwing it up! I've been known to do that! You didn't here.

I've been known to do that! You didn't here. Thank you. I've done that so many times! Little things like, "The dot over that "i" is too small. Crap now it's huge!" Kind of what happened with the trees. They look a bit Halloweenish but they'll do. I like your husband's quote. meflick
Dragonkort
again i agree with everyone else it breath taking and your friends will simply love it!!! i like the trees to...they look more realistic i think when there not what we would call perfect.my friend here is always telling me im my own worse cricit...i think that could be said of all of us....we see inperfections and the mastakes we've made that no on else does....you did a great job !!! Not only a fun and interesting one to look at but your wood colors are so perfect....I especially like how the light part of the wood is perfect for the river and the darker part for the land.
