Popular Post heppnerguy Posted September 26, 2020 Popular Post Report Posted September 26, 2020 I have loved this pattern ever since I first saw it and after Brenda posted hers, it jogged my memory and I finally got around to cutting it. Thank you, Brenda for your help with this one. I actually stack cut it and have one more to figure out what exactly I am going to do with that one. Might put it on my garage wall or give it to a family member or friend. who knows. I cut this on 1/4 inch BB Ply and used my 'go to' blade,(#3R MG Pegas) for all of it. wombatie Posted September 26, 2020 Report Posted September 26, 2020 It is a beautiful cutting Dick but I'm not too sure about the blue background with the pale wood. Great work though. Marg heppnerguy 1 Quote
Tomanydogs Posted September 26, 2020 Report Posted September 26, 2020 Dick I love the colours you choose. Makes the cutting pop. Terrific job on this one. heppnerguy 1 Quote

barb.j.enders Posted September 26, 2020 Report Posted September 26, 2020 I cut this earlier this year. Stack cut 3 from 1/8" bb ply. Put in a standard frame with craft paper as the back. Foxfold, new2woodwrk and heppnerguy 2 1 Quote

Great work though. Marg Really? I found that I liked it a lot. Funny how people see things from different perspectives. So, your comment I found interesting and I am curious as to what you would have done differently. I usually use a black backer because of the contrast but being this is an out of doors picture, I thought a blue sky would be a better choice. Thanks for your comment though, as I view this kind of suggestion as something to consider in the future and they are very helpful from here on. Dick heppnerguy Quote

I sort of considered the pattern to be making it's own frame so left it as it was. Thanks for posting yours. Dick heppnerguy barb.j.enders 1 Quote

Dick heppnerguy If the wood is pale I think a darker background helps but if the wood is dark a light background is fine. Just my opinion. Maybe a slightly darker blue or green???? Loskoppie Posted September 27, 2020 Report Posted September 27, 2020 Hi I always wanted to do it like you not got round to it. It might be a advert for us in S.A. to remember to save water as it is water saving time. Barbara heppnerguy 1 Quote

Marg actually the color tones in the photo are really not very correct, but I understand where you are coming from and I agree with your premise. This just worked for me, this time. rjR Posted September 27, 2020 Report Posted September 27, 2020 Looks great Dick. There will always be at least some differences of opinion! You made it-YOU get to choose the way you want it! I do like opinions expressed though, I will sometimes change or modify my project when one hits me as better. heppnerguy 1 Quote

Foxfold Posted September 28, 2020 Report Posted September 28, 2020 (edited) Glad I could help. I do love this pattern, I made mine for my daughter but having finished it I like it so much I'm going to do another one just for me. Edited September 28, 2020 by Foxfold heppnerguy 1 Quote
