Popular Post Danj84
Just finished this project for my mums birthday at the end of the month ,she loves Elephants and I saw this H Botas pattern and thought this would be just right. Made using 1/4inch BB Plywood using a # 1 spiral blade ,stained with danish oil then a clear varnish, Also made my first frame ,you think it would be easy to make a frame but it was a learning curve lol! My joints are not perfect but for a first attempt I thought it was ok. Frame made of oak also stained with danish oil and clear varnish then used black mount board for backer ,thanks for looking jollyred, amazingkevin, Rolf and 12 others

dgman
Very nice cutting Dan and the frame looks good considering it’s your first! The two most important factors of frame making is cutting exact 45° corners and each pair of sides must be precisely, exactly the same length. amazingkevin and Danj84 1

Foxfold
Nice work, I'm sure your mum will treasure it. H.Botas has a few 'elephant' patterns perhaps you can make some for Xmas too, then she could have an 'Elephant' wall... My friend has one it looks great. Denny Knappen
Very nice cutting. As Dan said exact 45 degrees and length. As a framer, we use two chop saws and jigs. Danj84
