So with this experance i can not recomend the delta If I were to do it over I would have tore into the saw myself  I am sure that I can get the parts over the internet.

$300 is pretty cheap, but I echo the sentiment on the parts.  The Delta part I ordered took 6 months or more to come in.  I don't understand what is up with that. Still probably a better deal than other low end saws in the 200 price range, it's one of those calculated risks.

I'll bet they are throwing all parts into production of new saws. There is no profit in repairs.

"DELTA",  Careful what you ask for, You might just get it!

I've had very few issues with any of my Delta equipment.

Only issue so far has been the loose motor which I was able to actually repair myself LOL

My table saw is the best piece of equipment I've ever purchased - Delta

I'm glad for you,  I am sorry to have to say I have  just the opposite experience with them, and will never buy from them again. They use to be a great brand and then  they decided that profit was more important than the quality of their product,  It's a real shame!

I have a Delta Unisaw, drill press, scroll saw, 13" planer and have had no issues with any of them. I have had the Tablesaw 7 years used heavily, drill press 7 years, 13" planer 6 years and scroll saw 3years. I am either lucky or got well made machines. I wouldn't trade my Unisaw for any other tablesaw on the market. I taught woodworking for forty years and used powermatic and sawstop tablesaws they can't match my 5hp Unisaw.

All well and good, the problem comes about when you need parts and they more or less tell you just buy another one. Speaking of longevity, I am still using my Craftsman 10" table saw that I bought new in the 1950's and there are still a lot of parts still out there for this saw. Not all parts mind you but some, I'm 85 yrs old so its doesn't matter too much for me any longer, LOL! I still use it almost every day and so far so good,

same drill here. 3 months to repair. And that's why you need a spare! 5 yr warranty on the saw is a plus. I'll continue with Delta until I won't - lol.

Amazon has the saw on sale as well - not as cheap though: $332. Still not a bad price.

I was seriously considering the Dewalt but the $500 price tag was just a bit over the top for me

I've had both DeWalt and Delta saws. Virtually the same saw except the stands are different due to different footprints. But can be modified to accommodate.

I've gone to Delta now because of the price and warranty. As previously noted, if you are in production mode you will need a spare as warranty repairs take a long time.

And I just found out that SEYCO sells replacement blade holder knob tips for both! Cheaper than replacing the entire knob.

I bought over a dozen Dewalt's at $250 to $60 a piece and any where in between. When I went from 1 dozen el cheap-o saws and then to a Dewalt my love for this saw grew immensly from the start.
