Clock Inserts

Well, about that time to order some more inserts.. I contact my supplier this morning and was discussing a deal and options etc.. I'm kind of hyped because they brought back the Metal case in the 50mm ( 2" ) size..  I ordered a few of them in Gold with Arabic and Roman numbers.. They are also going to send me several samples.. looks like maybe several sizes from the 2" - 3-1/2 inch maybe... Anyway for the longest time you couldn't get 2" inserts in a metal case.. they only had plastic case ones..

The 2" that I ordered was also with the good PC21 movement ( motor ) which is what I use in all the other clocks.. so they should be good quality.. The samples they are sending I'm pretty sure are plastic clocks with China movements..

Anyway.. I ordered several plastic case clocks as I do use those in certain situations as the metal ones with the compression fit.. they can be a bear to get inserted into the hole.. especially on delicate pieces.. so I'll sometimes use the plastic insert for those.. I ordered enough of the plastic and metal on the 37mm ( 1-7/16 ) that I'll probably offer both on my website.. as well as the 50mm if anyone takes up clock making.. and has a interest in some quality clocks.. LOL To my knowledge nobody is selling the 50mm metal case clocks in the USA.. If I'm wrong on that correct me.. I haven't researched that to be 100% correct.. I know they aren't on any of the main suppliers sites that I've used in the past..
