This is a custom order request. The pattern is by Harvey Byler purchased from WoodCraftByScott.com. I enlarged the pattern by 10%. Cut at home on the EX21 using FD UR #5 blades. The wood is Poplar approximately 7" x 9". Sanded with the Mac Mop and dipped in Shellac diluted 50% with alcohol. Comments welcome.

I've thought about trying the alcohol and shellac.. what kind of alcohol do you use?

It looks great even though you drank 50% alcohol when dipping it in the shellac.. You sure after drinking it that it actually got dipped in the shellac? 😂

No seriously what is used like rubbing alcohol? I'd like to try this sometime..

Funny Kevin.  I use denatured Alcohol.  I find that by dipping the pieces, it gets into all the little areas.  Also, diluted dries quickly and does not affect the fit.

Thanks Denny, I forget there is such a thing as denatured alcohol.. I may try this.. I think it would dry much faster and maybe less smell than the Danish oil that I currently use..

Harvey is probably busy with custom orders.. I know I'm waiting on 6 new custom designs.. and I've ordered several the last few months.. I have more to order now again as well but I'm trying to not overload the system, LOL

After cutting, I sand with a Mac Mop to get rid of the fuzzies and round the edges slightly, dip in the solution and let dry over night, and sand lightly with the Mac Mop.  It doesn't take all night to dry, but nothing else to do while sleeping.
