Popular Post Hudson River Rick Posted November 3, 2020 Popular Post Report Share Posted November 3, 2020 This is our 2020 Christmas card that we send out to 36 friends and family members. This tradition was started due to our good friend ROLF, who so graciously showed his beautiful Volker Arnold ornaments that he mails out and my wife saw his post 3 years ago and the rest is history. The Christmas sentiment was composed and printed by Ann Marie and I supplied the scrolled ornament. The image is a reduced version of a pattern I found on Scroll Saw Village many years ago, I apologize for not remembering the designers name and the fact that my computer skills are so bad that I am not able to find that information. Unfortunately, this may be the last year that we mail these Christmas greetings, because the postal rate has increased so high, that it is almost prohibited. We purchased 3M bubble bags and I cut pieces of left over mat board to protect the ornament when it the stamps are canceled, last year that didn’t work, and many of the ornaments were damaged. One of the postal workers I went to speak to about last years problem suggested that I print “FRAGILE” on the envelope…Yea right, that’ll work. Sorry for the long post. Thanks for looking.
