Sinister1957
Thanks all. I have to finish up a few other projects, but from the little I toyed with th RBI.I can't wait to do something on it. I Liked making the chess pieces so I may try another compound cutting project or maybe A multidimensional one. I'll see how I feel at the time...Any suggestions. ben2008
Nice score. I love my 27 year old RBI and it still hums along perfectly. Those older scrollsaws were built to last. Sinister1957 and amazingkevin

Before I purchased I called RBI...I was told unit is 23 years old lt has from what I understand the better Dayton dc motor..I have been playing with it and changing out the blades so when I finally use it for something I am more proficient ..I love the fact it is made in America for that alone I love it. And now I know the difference between this and the Wen I purchased...anyone want to buy a slightly used saw. ben2008 and amazingkevin

GusGustin
OH MAN .. the saw I've been looking for .. !!!! I have the 220VS and love it. I also have a new PEGAS .. the RBI is so much better. There are two of 'em .. about 500-600 miles away from me in L.A. for sale right now - but - no way to get down there just yet and get one of 'em .. One is 700 the other is 400 .. nothing wrong (so it appears) with either one of 'em .. They don't come up very often - I'll tell ya that. Good score !!!! GusGustin
My 220VS is about 40 years old .. I just spent 50 bucks - got a new blade holder and blower tube for it and a few other incidentals. Have not put on the new blade holder yet. Need a pin pusher for that. I don't want to bang on it with a punch, though, it may be strong enough for that, don't want to chance bending anything. It was flawless before the new stuff - and - still is. Changing blades is a snap - and - the tension adjustment? Just go by the "clock" .. it's never been wrong. There's no setting for the PEGAS 2/0 MGT's though - you have to figure it out .. and .. may break a few blades doing it. But - when you get it .. just write it down and you won't break another one. Have fun .. so JEALOUS .. and band saw? I have the BIG POWERMATIC - and the same little RYOBI that you have .. those little Ryobi's, got mine almost new for 20 bucks, are great for what they are. There's a little delta on Craigslist for 20 bucks now - so - I might have another one. 1/8" - and 3/16" blades so I don't have to change. hahahahaha. I'm sooooooo OCD .. hahahahhaha .. I love tools.
