Popular Post John B
I couldn't see another suitable to place to post this. Had a good day at the local monthly markets today. I had concentrated on making stand-up puzzles over the last couple of weeks and had about 25, along with portraits etc to take along. looks like I'll be making more puzzles this month as I put $390 in the sky-rocket . The markets run from 8am - 1pm. Glad they were today when the temp was only 26c not on Wednesday when it is reckoned to reach 39c heppnerguy, Dave Monk, wombatie and 12 others

spirithorse
Congratulations on a good day of sales, @John B Just out of curiosity, do the portraits of iconic stars like Elvis, Marilyn Monroe, and Den Martin sell very well any more? I'm just curious. It seems there are still John Wayne fans everywhere that admire portraits of him but, not sure they will still buy very often. God Bless! John B
Thanks Dick if I got a dollar from every one who admired them and asked how long they take to cut, I wouldn't have to sell any

It is actually a stencil that I had to do only a little work on to make it into a pattern wombatie

Spirithorse Thanks Bob, The Duke and Elvis sell pretty well, I even get rid of a couple of Audrey Hepburn ones a year. As Marilyn Munroe, I have never sold one and wouldn't of even cut her, but a friend asked me to and then "I never really wanted her, just thought she'd look god cut" so there you go. Dean Martin, I cut one for my brother in-law and stacked 3, I sold the 1st time I displayed him, but I have had this one for almost a year. On the whole, I think the portraits have slowed down, but I refuse to give them away, so if I sell one, It can make a huge difference to the day's takings.
