I had one for years complete with glass scales and an AccuRite display. Variable speed and power feed. I no longer had the strength to do much with it so I sold it along with a nice 12 inch lathe. I replaced it with a Grizzly mini mill and have a nice MaxiMat7. I also have a lot of Sherline equipment along with a 8mm watchmaker's lathe with about 70 collets. Unfortunately I no longer have the energy to do much with them. I'd give them up in exchange for energy. But that is what old age does. However, I am blessed with scrolling. 

One day as I sat musing a voice came to me saying, "Cheer up, things could be worse." So I cheered up and sure enough things got worse! So I stopped doing that. 

Sorry. I guess I really hijacked this thread! I do like talking shop.

Marg . Id check your Facebook Market place ,

theirs alot of woodworking machinery out their at present for sale .

 

Another though -when i had problems with mine , I found a motor repair shop

and they repaired it - not to bad in price ( i took it off and delivered it )

but mine is a commercial Metal working model - a bit harder to work with
