Every year we make and send out an ornament card for a select group of family and friends. Thirty cards this year, we have been doing this now for 15 years. The highest number was 40. The ornaments are stack cut 1.5mm ply and mounted in photo cards with removable adhesive. My wife writes the sentiment.  This one is from 2006.

The second ornament is a laser engraving. My dental hygienist knew that I made ornaments and asked if I could do an image of her parents dog that recently died. I was going to try and design a cutting  but I just did not have the time and I have never really done a fretwork design. Intarsia yes fretwork no. I found this pencil drawing that looks just like their dog, then engraved it with my little engraver on birch plywood. This was also my first attempt at something like this. I am very pleased and in return I accepted a box of exceptional homemade cookies.  I look forward to hearing from her after Christmas, I suspect that there will be tears.

These are all my family's Christmas gift this year

The eagle Is for my dad a true red white blue collar American

The rose is for my mom for how beautiful and sweet she is

The bass jumping out of the water is for my brother and has a cool story behind it the first time I took him bass fishing he caught a 7 1/2 lb bass and fell in love with fishing he always said he wish he could have had a picture of it as it jumped from behind the log  well  I gave it to him took me about 6 years to come up with this idea though. Always fun trying to capture life's moments in the form of wood.   All three are made from stain grade shelving 3/4"  thick and backed with pant lauan plywood. And all three have ben  torched  sanded and staind  minwax  guns took for the eagle, minwax honey for the rose and unicorn spit stan gel for the slats for backing and unicorn spit stain gels and minwax golden oak on the bass and all sealed with clear glaze hope yall enjoy

WOW WOW WOW! so many exception gifts.  Frank you really have been busy. What a variety and I like what you did with Steve Good's Gnomes.

Dman that is one of the nicest ribbon boxes I have seen.  I always love how people react to these as they can't figure out how you bent the wood for the ribbon.

I used a ps5, 17tpi (Flying Dutchman) for the bows and 1"+ walnut box. The bows are purpleheart, holly, and maple. The ribbons are purpleheart and maple. the lid and bottom are from the same piece of wood as the box.

Our club is invited to make toys for Lubbock Christian University each year for their Christmas event for children.  Also, I make an item they use as a door prize. This year a cedar box with their theme, this year, which is "Charley brown Christmas".  Image on the 10"x7" box is inlaid using the "double bevel inlay" method using my scroll saw. Reindeer are 3D cuts on scroll saw.
