PAUPAU
I just wanted to take a minute to re-introduce myself. I, so luckily discovered this forum a few years ago and have been lurking. As time past I would just drop in ever now and then or revisit Travis' University for inkscape pointers. Travis, I learned so much from your inkscape lesson and at the time I wasn't looking for looking for scrolling advice, but software advice. With great enthusiasm I even purchased my first, (and only) scroll saw and have yet to cut anything. Its been over a year and a half, and I have opened the box and read directions, but that is soon to change. The real reason I wanted to make this post is to say, THANK YOU. Thanks to Travis and to the board members, I think you all are awesome and so talented. I wanted you all to know how much you are appreciated. I am constantly telling members on another forum, hey you want to learn inkscape or do those protrait project you HAVE to go to SVU. This forum has inspired my crafting in other areas, so far I've been paper piecing, etching, stenciling and cutting vinyl wall art. Oh and lets not forget cake decorating. It's easy to stop in and check things out, peek and run. (and I promise to be more active, you may even get sick of me) and just so you don't think I am just a flake pulling your chain, here a link to a post the MTC forum. I'm PauPau there too. http://forum.make-the-cut.com/discussio ... c/#Item_14 I just wanted to stop and say "THANK YOU"

Travis
I'm glad you enjoyed the video tutorials. The stuff you learn in those classes can be applied to many different craft-forms. I do a fair amount of paper-craft (I use SCAL and Cricut too), woodworks, graphics, etc. It all is tied together in one way or another. Now break out that scroll saw and give it a try. You'd be surprised how easy it really is.
