The $250 is a good price if it is clean and operates as it should. Not sure of the electrical on it but if it has the "soft start" and variable speed control, make sure all of that works as it should. It's an expensive fix if not. It probably hasn't been updated with the tension release lever and the blade clamp knob. I bought a saw somewhere in that vintage and it was a good saw.
