My First Work

I like the little pegs in the puzzles.  That should make it a lot less frustrating for little hands to work the puzzle.  Don't worry too much about the lettering, they are one of the hardest things to get right.  I don't think I have ever done a perfect letter, and I have been using a scroll saw, occasionally, for over 20 years.

I got a scroll saw to help my wife with a project. It is a used Harbor Freight model, but it works pretty well. I have done some practice. Right now it is in the garage, which is quite cold, so I am not doing much. These are two of my current projects. I can't seem to get the letters for the unit patch nice enough, so my son has 3d printed me letters I will glue on.  It is from my old regiment, the 2nd Armored Cavalry Regiment. The puzzles are for my new grandson.

You're off and running. Keep them handy and look back on them a year down the road, in your case it might be 3 months. I have found #2 pegas super skip blades do a real nice job on letters. They do leave some fuzziest, but I burn them with a micro torch. I cut 1" pine with them

Great work!!  And yes like everyone else says letters can be a bugger to cut out! iv been scrolling since the late 70s early80s and letters drive me nuts!! lol as a matter of fact the last project i made i messed up because one of the letters messed up so bad i couldnt fix it!!!  mumble grumble....BUT i didnt toss out the rest of the project..i turned it into something else.... Dont know if anyone else does this but when i mess up part of a project i put it in a sepreat box and every now and then i go through it and find i can make something else out of the good or not messed up parts.... the project im doing now as a present for my son had to be changed and turned into a different project because i messed up the words. hope to finish it tomarrow .... just remember dont sweat the small stuff!!  this is suppose to be fun lol  i think all crafters regardless of the craft they do secerty love to touture themselfs!! lol at least thats what my family thinks when im mumbleing and grumbling and ranting and raving about a project thats giving me greaf lol
