Popular Post munzieb Posted December 19, 2020 Popular Post Report Posted December 19, 2020 Spoke with our mailman the other day and he said they are assigning him to a new route next year. He has been with us a few years and wanted to give him something in appreciation for going the extra mile with our deliveries. Purchased this pattern a few years ago from Sue Mey and just add his name. 1/8" on 1/4" backer and just shellac finish. ChelCass, RabidAlien, Foxfold and 14 others 17 Quote
meflick Posted December 19, 2020 Report Posted December 19, 2020 What a beautiful piece and I know Jake will be so excited to get it. Glad he has always been there to do great work. Glad you also found out before he just “disappeared.” Hopefully your new one will be good too. munzieb 1 Quote

heppnerguy Posted December 23, 2020 Report Posted December 23, 2020 You are such a thoughtful person. Mail people do us a huge service and it is a wonderful gift that will make him understand that he is not out there unappreciated as he goes about his task to serve us daily. What would we do is we did not have those workers out there for us? Dick heppnerguy munzieb 1 Quote

His current route has close to 800 drops a day and now during the holiday season they are dropping packages in the early morning and regular mail in the afternoon. That doesn't include the sorting of letters before they go out on their route! Last night we had another driver show up at 6:30PM with late arrival packages. Figure in hot and cold weather, rain and snow. Not an easy job. meflick 1 Quote
