Popular Post GusGustin
Care taking for a 93 year old amputee .. and .. a dimentia'ed 90 year old wife of his (wife's parents) .. man .. that is FULL TIME !!! I didn't realize it. I even took my scroll saw over there when we moved in back in February .. Cut out a manger scene .. and .. that was all I had time for. But .. got this one done this week for my Grand daughter for Christmas. It's cut out of an old SOLID MAPLE HEADBOARD .. with .. that BURL WALNUT I get for a base. Used a Pegas 2/0 MGT and a Flying Dutchman 2/0 - then - finished it off with a #1 FD .. Thanks the the CLOCK Kevin! (@kmmcrafts) and both you and TDP(@TDpainter) for your advise on the pattern I was drawing for it. I think it came out alright. And .. there's the pattern if anyone wants it. It was a FUN cut. Denny Knappen
Caregiving can be a full time job. Been there done that. As for the project, very well done. GusGustin
wombatie
Being a full time carer is a full time job, there are no half measures in it. Give yourself a pat on the back and your wife too. You made a beautiful piece for your granddaughter, she will love it. daveww1
very nice work, I know the problems your dealing with. My wife has Alzheimer's and I seem to take forever to finish any projects along with helping her. GusGustin and amazingkevin
kmmcrafts
WOW! that turned out nice, I'm surprised that you was able to get it done. I knew you was busy with the caregiving per our PM's and I figured it'd be a longer time before I seen the final product.. I bet the scrolling helped ease some stress from the caregiving.. Gotta take some time to relax and do some scrolling every now and then.. glad you was able to do just that. Take care of yourself.. you can't be a caregiver when you're down too. amazingkevin, danny and GusGustin

meflick
Prayers for you and yours as you handle the care giving. I too know the toll it can take, especially with dementia as my mother too had Alzheimer’s. I found scrolling shortly after we lost her and I found it very therapeutic to sit at the saw. I hope it breaks you the same comfort and joy. Your granddaughter will love this beautiful piece you have crafted. GusGustin
