Trying to get my shop more organized. Normally my clamps are scattered all over the place. So I am in the process of making a mobile clamp rack. Got to wondering how everyone else store their clamps. I found a article in an older Woodsmith magazine that I like and designed mine from it. So how do you store / organize your clamps ?

No where in my shop is more than 5 steps away, so I just put a dowel rod in the overhead joists and slide the clamps on them.  I am in a basement and the joists are exposed.  I only have room for one roll around, so I use it for anything too heavy to move easily.  Clamps are easy.

My workshop is only small so mine are hanging on the wall.

Mine is very similar to yours, a bit longer, but at one end I ran a 1x1 "cube" down the middle of the clamp board for a foot or two, and use that block for spring clamps.

Most of my clamps are the spring clamp variety, they are sorted by size and stored in plastic storage drawers.

At school my pipe clamps hang on the sides of a really sturdy wood shelving unit, and quick clamps hang on the ledge on the back side of my table saw.

I found a article in Wood Magazine I think. it has round ply circles time and bottom with 2x4 frame between the wood circles with dowels in holes into the 2x4s to hang the clamps. Wheels are on bottom and easily moves from back to front of shop.

Go to YouTube and type in April Wilkerson. She has a mobile clamp rack she made that I think you will like.

She did a great job on her clamp rack. I enjoy watching her at times, depends on the video. I'm almost done with mine Just a few last little details. I'll post a pic when completed. I just got a couple orders in so that takes precedence.
