My first thought is use pressure treated plywood but then that will likely have holes in the layers that won't be best. Other option I can think of is using regular baltic birch plywood with an exterior primer paint applied. Have others done outside signs? What materials were used? Thanks in advance. Dan Posted January 13, 2021 Report Share Posted January 13, 2021 I suggest solid wood if you plan to paint it. My experience is if any moisture gets into the plies of the plywood it will delaminate.
