rjweb
I am cutting 3/4 inch red oak, what blade would you suggest, thx RJ
Rockytime
Depends on the pattern. Not knowing what the pattern is I would start with a #7 Pegas double skip reverse.
Dave Monk
I cut some 3/4 oak puzzles today using a #5 Pegas MGT blades.

kmmcrafts
Either #5 Pegas MG blade or a #5 FD- Ultra Reverse.. Or #5 Olsen PGT Basically a number 5, LOL.. That said sometimes a smaller blade cuts faster and cleaner.. I have and do often use a #3 Pegas MG blade on 3/4" Oak, Cherry, and Poplar.. BUT it would really depend on the pattern.. as those smaller blades are also easier to drift a little on longer straight cuts.. don in brooklin on
I have just been cutting some owls in 3/4 read oak (I think) and have been using Flying Dutchman Ultra Reverse #3. Cuts easily and what I like is the edges are completely smooth and requires no sanding at all. FrankEV and Dan

scrollerpete
FD ultra reverse #3 or Pegas MGT #3 will do a good job
ben2008
I like the Olson # 5 PGT blades for thick oak and other hardwoods. It cuts straight and leaves a nice finished edge. Edited January 22, 2021 by ben2008

Davevand
I am cutting puzzles out of 5/8 and 3/4 inch poplar I started cutting with a #3 Pegas MG and it was doing a good job, moved to a #5 Pages MG and it did not seem to cut as well and seem to dull faster. I will be changing back to the #3 kmmcrafts

I will be changing back to the #3 That is my experience with them as well, I cut about 95% of my stuff with a #3 . I used to use a lot of those #5's but you are right.. They did redesign the MG blades back a few years ago and the #5's just aren't what they used to be.. If I need a larger blade for something I usually go to a #5 FD-UR instead of Pegas..
