Shop Tour

Got my dust collection plumbing done except for my scroll saws. I will tackle that down the road. Thanks to many of you for the help and ideas. I sure am pleased how it all works. My shop isn't normally this clean and tidy but now and then I bring a scoop shovel in and clean it out.

Why is it I cannot watch videos on a website like this.... I can watch them on youtube,, Rumble and places like that but on here it took 10 minutes of waiting just for you to open the door.   I was going to try to down load it and it was going to take 3 hours.... Do you have this video somewhere else?   I want to see your shop!!!

Try going down to the bottom of the picture and see if there is an arrow to click on.

I also find that the videos posted in the group, in general, do a lot of buffering.  Maybe when you load videos to youtube or facebook etc, they are automatically optimised for play back, and not on sites like this. Alternatively the resolution (very high) that the video's are taken and uploaded in required a more band width then is available. Just thinking out loud.

Nice setup Dave. The only criticism I have is the walls. I would paint them maybe an off white. Otherwise, everything looks great.

P.S. I had no problem with the video. I watched on my iPad with no buffering. For those having problems, maybe it’s your internet speed.

Very nice shop and selection of tools. Too nice for me to work in, LOL One thing I lack in life is organization skills.. If my shop is organized I can't find anything.. LOL

I couldn't view the video on my PC but worked well on my iphone.. BUT.. yes I have slow DSL internet so the phone with 4G is faster than my internet sometimes.. also depends upon how many of my kids are gaming, youtube etc at the same time as to whether I'm allowed online or not, LOL

I think a lot has to do with how the site optimizes the video for viewing? I'd love to do more youtube stuff but it takes an hour to load a 10-20 minute video.. I can load the same video on FB or other places in about 3-5 minutes.. My son does youtube stuff but he has a way of optimizing it before he uploads.. I've asked him a few times how he does it.. but he won't set me up with his method.. he just goes and does it for me.. but then when I have a video every couple days for him to do it don't get done.. he needs to teach me not just do it for me, LOL

IMHO it's not internet speed as I can watch You Tube, etc fine.  I found that downloading the video was the solution.  Then it played just fine for me.  It was slower downloading than other things i've gotten off the web, so I think it's something with this site.

That's a great shop you have.  Awesome set up.  Color me green with envy.  ;o)

Nice shop! I like the dust collection idea on the Ridgid sander. I will have to add that to mine. I love my 16/32 supermax sander.

I bet you do too.

I just used the thumb screw that came on the  sander to attach the port. Does a lot better than hooking up to the port that is built into the sander.

Ha!  After 3 1/2 hours of downloading, I finally got to see your shop!!😃  Worth the effort, very nice shop.   Looks to be about twice the size or more than mine... Very nice layout..  I really think I could be happy with that!  The tool you have that I would most like to have is that drum sander...  I bet it come in handy...  Thanks for taking the time to share with us..

My shop is 24'x30' including the storage and finish area. I love my drum  sander. I resaw a lot of wood and then run it through my drum sander.
