red river
who paint their fretwork patterns. I have been looking for a way to spice up my projects. I was struck when I ran across marcelafgan's work in the pattern section. I would love to try adding color to my work through paint. I don't know what kind of paint to try for the effects I have seen. ( acrylic? ) It looks like some of the paint may have been thinned on some of the projects. Can someone here get me headed in the right direction? I suppose the colors I have seen were paint and not dye. I want to thank everyone for the help I received in my past posts. This a heckuva cool site...Thanx.....Forrest OCtoolguy
barb.j.enders
I have used acrylic paints and the Unicorn Spit stains. Depends on the project that I am doing. On one project I wanted just a hint of colour so I used a pencil crayon and lightly coloured the piece then took an emory board to blend it all together. I was quite pleased with the effect.
