FrankEV
Red Oak is great for picture frames but not the best for cuttings, especially thin panels. If Red Oak is a look that you want you can get Red Oak 1/4" x 12" x 19.5"Panels solid core plywood in boxes of 10 from Home Dedpot. Free delivery to your location. I have purchased their Cherry, Oak, Mahagony and Birch in addition to my go to panels of Maple and Walnut. Not quite as cheep as BB Ply, but very nice quality product. Your cutting looks good. Any plans to mount it on a backer for display? Right now, like the "real" Bigfoot, very invisable. amazingkevin, Dan and ChelCass

Not sure how I am going to mount this guy. I have two other who might join him. FrankEV and amazingkevin
Rockytime
I think the red oak looks good and cutting is done well. ChelCass and amazingkevin
dgman
I use Red Oak. Although thin oak can be fragile, I have no problem using it in certain applications, like as an overlay with a backer board. I’m getting ready to cut some dream catchers out of 3/4” Red Oak. amazingkevin and ChelCass

Ken Lotts
I have cut quite a bit using Red Oak. I think Red Oak looks great. The Victorian bells I cut out for Christmas ornaments looked great in Red Oak. ChelCass
