That looks really cool in aluminum. Mine lives on an old barn door on the wall above my grill. Makes me smile to know he has an Aussie cousin. :)

I sanded the edges with a diamond file to get any rough and sharp pieces off.

Not really sure of the thickness but I think about 1.5mm 2mm at the most.  I really would like to get a thicker piece but only about 3mm.
