Didn't turn out too bad, just wish I had made it bigger. It was cut with Jewelers blades. thanks @Charlie E for the pattern. Mine lives on an old barn door on the wall above my grill. Not really sure of the thickness but I think about 1.5mm 2mm at the most. I really would like to get a thicker piece but only about 3mm.
