Joe W. Posted April 4, 2021 Report Posted April 4, 2021 Is there such a thing as optimal viewing distance? Here's another Steve Good pattern I enlarged to 12"x15" on 1/4" Maple ply. Was a little disappointed when I first looked at it after the last cut - it didn't have that 3D effect. Then I took it inside and showed it to my wife, setting it up a few feet away from her and we looked at it again, and Viola! (presto) - the 3D effect was more pronounced. Kinda makes me wish I had made it smaller now. Be_O_Be, crupiea, CSull and 1 other 2 1 1 Quote
OCtoolguy Posted April 4, 2021 Report Posted April 4, 2021 The optimal viewing distance is the distance where you are sitting and looking at the work and it's very clear. Anything else is not optimal. Just sayin........ Joe W., WayneMahler and meflick 3 Quote
