Joey
Hi all, I had some extra time on my hands and wondered what other scroll saw forums were out there. So I googled scroll saw forums and got oodles. None appealed to me, so I'm asking you all, what other scroll saw forums do you frequent? don in brooklin on
At a meeting at the Durham Woodworkers Club we had to discuss scroll sawing, for tips I compiled a list of the sites in my favourites library. I have attached. I look at each of the first four every day. ( I have lots of time and enjoy the information) Forums.pdf
Xray
Theres a few I visit ,,, But for obvious reasons, most forums frown on free advertising for their competitors, so I'll pass on posting anything.
Travis
I don't mind since its on-topic. I'm not conceded enough to think SSV is the only place people visit. There are a lot of great groups out there. In fact, I have a list of other scroll saw communities in the Wiki (http://www.scrollsawvillage.com/wiki/in ... ommunities). I have to admit, I rarely go to the other places. Mostly because I'm too busy working on this website (and a few others that I run). We're fairly small compared to the big 2 (http://www.stevedgood.com/community/index.php). But I think we offer a nice homey atmosphere where you don't get lost in the crowd. I also think that our pattern library is top-notch, thanks to the amazing designers here at SSV.

I agree, the others are too big and impersonal. You have the sections of the forum set out easier and its like an extended family here
Clayton717
I belong to other sites, (most of them from Don's list). But I am most active here, like Brett said it's like an extended family.
mikesscrollsaw
really I don't visit any other ones, I searched around for a while trying to find a good place to go. I simply don't ahve that much time to go to multiple sites. This site seems to provide a little of everything I need.

montgomery0
I remained exclusivly at this site until I read this topic and decided to check out a few of the others.. I personally would feel as if I were being disloyal to the Good Folks here that have offered so much of their knowledge and time to help and guide me in my own endeavers after visiting others. It seems I was bumping into a lot of egos and self centered people on other sites. I woud have to read through a lot of arguing to find any wisdom. I did find some { all recomended in this post } that are worth visiting. The University here is great, haven't seen near as nice of a pattern library as SSV...So thats my experiance, and I like this community Tried, trued, and tested hands down, my favorite.. Much Respect
