CSull Posted April 24, 2021 Report Posted April 24, 2021 That is funny and sad all at once I have a few home projects on hold hoping the price of plywood drops! OCtoolguy 1 Quote
WayneMahler Posted April 24, 2021 Report Posted April 24, 2021 At the rate things are going, I'd wait a little then cut it in half and get two trucks. 1 Dodge 1 Chevy Joe W., amazingkevin, Fab4 and 1 other 1 3 Quote
kywoodmaster Posted April 25, 2021 Report Posted April 25, 2021 Never thought I would see the day when 20 2x4 would cost over $200.00. Stopped Friday picked up 12- 10 ft treated and 8 precuts. $210.00 and change. amazingkevin, Fedido and OCtoolguy 1 2 Quote

kmmcrafts Posted May 8, 2021 Report Posted May 8, 2021 From what I'm seeing, don't expect prices to drop very much if any in the next 2-3 years.. and right now might actually be the cheap price. OCtoolguy 1 Quote
Puzzleguy Posted May 14, 2021 Report Posted May 14, 2021 (edited) To my understanding , the reason why wood is getting more and more pricey is because they have no way of getting the wood to the lumber yard - and also mill it before it ships ( move it around and have people to handle it ) truck drivers , and people to work the mills ! if you can be patient and put off something that's not absolutely necessary - Id do that ( not to panic ) I know theirs more to this - but I believe time will only help , if we don't panic and calm down . As a Craftsman I do have some back up - of materials I use -thou i wish i bought a few sheets of baltic birch for a project i want to do ! But I'll be fine and I hope you will be too ! One way I'm counteracting is to cut back on things that are not absolutely necessary - to help pay for things I have to pay for ! ( a good way to loose some weight ) . MTCowpoke22 Posted May 14, 2021 Report Posted May 14, 2021 No low ball offers, but you are looking for a Dodge? Quite the contradiction there. Quote
Gordster Posted May 14, 2021 Report Posted May 14, 2021 They say that when this is over,if and when, these prices are going to remain like this. amazingkevin 1 Quote

OCtoolguy Posted May 21, 2021 Report Posted May 21, 2021 I'm glad my projects don't require construction lumber. Quote
new2woodwrk Posted May 21, 2021 Report Posted May 21, 2021 Just bought a sheet 1/2" ply from my lumber/mill - didn't know he had ply LOL Anyway, cost me $36. 3/4" is running $42 from him - at least for this current load Quote
