FrankEV
Marvelous cutting. Now that it is completed do you feel the choice of the Zebra wood was a good one? Just my personal opinion, but I'm not a fan of heavily grained wood for any portraits unless the grain works to enhance the image. Also, the choice of Tung Oil also darkend the piece a lot. I like the uncoated version a lot better. Again, IMHO, a clear Wipe- On Poly or Lacquer may have been a better choice.

It kind of camouflaged the image. The Tung oil made it worse because it brought the dark out and hid the image even more. It was also way too expensive. $21 for that piece. Lesson learned and now I love it even more. It came out exactly as it wasn't supposed to. Now I might fill it with am amber epoxy and make a rear lit piece out of it. jollyred and FrankEV 1
Rockytime
I love Native American art. That is a beautiful piece. I also like the first photo best. Tbow388
