Rich Mullins

One of my favorite Christian musicians ever, Rich Mullins. If you don't know him he wrote and sang songs you probably know including Awesome God. I love him because he was sort of a hot mess. He drank, smoked, cussed, didn't bath regularly. He also made millions of dollars and gave it away to charities and churches except for a small living allowance. He worked with Navajo children on a reservation. Sounds like a disciple, and I'll bet one of God's favorite sons.  Cut in wormy walnut.

You are correct...dont know him.  However, the likeness in the cutting is fabulous.

Counted 50 today.  Mostly something for my kids to say, "What should we do with all this junk?" over one of these days.

As a kid he attended the church I am a member of (Arba Friends) not to far north of Richmond Indiana. He also graduated from the same school as my sons (northeastern HS). I remember when he was in his most popular time he sang at our little country church. His aunt was a member.  My claim to fame lol.

Cool! I had read that even when he was drawing large crowds he preferred small settings.

I have never heard of this man before now but I sure enjoyed reading your background on him. He would probably be a person that would be neglected by many because of how he appeared on the surface but we all can take lessons on being God's person, from him. Wonderfully done pattern and information for us to read and enjoy.

I'd say you described him very well. Sadly he died in a car crash in 1997 while headed to do a benefit concert.
